TP4056 1A Li-Ion Battery Charging Board Micro USB with Current Protection

The TP4056 1A Li-Ion Battery Charging Board with Micro USB and current protection is designed for charging single cell 3.7V lithium ion batteries of 1 Ah or higher, such as 16550 cells without built in protection. Based on the TP4056 charger IC and DW01 protection IC, the module provides a 1A charge current and automatically cuts off when charging is complete.

When battery voltage drops below 2.4V, the protection IC disconnects the load to prevent deep discharge. It also protects against over voltage and reverse polarity, although incorrect polarity may damage the module. Each module is fully machine processed and tested for reliability. The board supports current monitoring, under voltage lockout, automatic recharge, and includes two status LEDs for charge indication.

Using the module:
Connect micro USB or 5V DC to IN+ and IN− pads.
Connect the battery to B+ and B− pads.
Connect load to OUT+ and OUT− pads (disconnect load when charging).
Red LED indicates charging; green LED indicates charge complete.
Do not charge batteries at rates greater than 1C.

Notes:
1. Ampere meter should only be connected on the 5V input side.
2. Recommended charge current is 37 percent of battery capacity (for 1000 mAh battery, 400 mA is enough).
3. Connection wires should not be too thick.
4. Ensure solid connection points.
5. If input voltage exceeds 5.2V, charge current may drop below 1000 mA automatically for protection.
6. No reverse polarity protection.
