DC-DC Step Down Module with Heat sink XL4015 5A

The XL4015 5A DC-DC Step Down Adjustable Power Supply Buck Module is a 180 kHz fixed frequency PWM buck converter capable of driving a 5A load with high efficiency, low ripple, and excellent line and load regulation.

It is designed for applications where the input voltage is higher than the output voltage, such as battery power supplies, power transformers, DIY adjustable regulated power supplies, LCD monitors, portable device power systems, telecom and networking equipment, 24V automotive notebook power systems, and industrial power regulation.

This module features an adjustable output voltage and can also function as a dedicated charger for lithium batteries including Li-ion and LiPo, as it can regulate both voltage and current. Examples include converting 12V to 3.3V or 5V, 24V to 5V or 12V, and 36V to 24V.

The XL4015 requires minimal external components and includes internal frequency compensation and a fixed frequency oscillator. The PWM control circuit adjusts duty cycle linearly from 0 to 100 percent. Built in over current protection reduces the switching frequency from 180 kHz to 48 kHz during short circuit protection. An internal compensation block minimizes component count.
