TP5100 4.2v and 8.4v Dual OneTwo Battery Protection Board

TP5100 4.2v and 8.4v Dual One/Two Battery Protection Board is a double switch buck 8.4V, single cell 4.2V lithium battery charge management chip. Its ultra-compact QFN16 package and simple external circuit make TP5100 ideal for portable equipment requiring large current charging management. It includes input overcurrent protection, under-voltage protection, over-temperature protection, short circuit protection, battery temperature monitoring, and reverse battery protection.

TP5100 supports 5V-15V wide input voltage and offers dual battery trickle charge, pre-charge, constant current, and constant voltage charging stages. The pre-charge and trickle charge currents can be adjusted through an external resistor, with a maximum charge current up to 2A. Its 400kHz switching mode helps minimize external component size while keeping heat generation low.

TP5100 includes a built-in power PMOSFET and anti-intrusion circuit, eliminating the need for an external Schottky diode.
