222M/4KV MOV

The 222M/4KV component is built using a high-K ceramic dielectric disc, silver-plated on both sides and encapsulated in a flame-retardant epoxy resin. The “222” indicates the value (22 with two zeros, or 2200pF), and “M” signifies a ±20% tolerance. In surge protection circuits, these high-voltage capacitors are frequently used in parallel with MOVs to provide additional noise filtering and to help absorb small, fast-rising transients that MOVs might miss. Their 4kV rating ensures they can withstand the high-clamping voltages present during a significant electrical surge or lightning event.
