Manufactured by MUP Industrial, the U22201-01 is a specialized USB-C port engineered for durability in harsh environments. It utilizes a mid-mount (sinking) configuration, allowing it to sit partially below the PCB surface to save vertical space. The connector is fully compliant with USB 3.1 Gen 2 standards, supporting data transfer speeds up to 10Gbps and 100W Power Delivery. Its most notable feature is the integrated silicone O-ring and epoxy glue sealing, which provides an IPX7 waterproof rating (protection against immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes) when properly integrated into a device chassis.
